ArrivalAid is an initiative in Frankfurt, training volunteers to prepare and accompany refugees for the official hearing at the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (Bundesamt für Migration und Flüchtlinge).
Refugees seeking asylum in Germany often lack sufficient information regarding the procedure for granting the right of asylum. Moreover, they are frequently unaware of key issues that need to be addressed during the hearing, in order for their individual situation to be acknowledged.
With ArrivalAid, we want to accompany refugees throughout their asylum procedure. Our trained volunteers provide assistance to refugees all through their official hearing with a three-step program, comprising preparatory meetings, the escort to the hearing, and a final follow-up. We are confident to provide efficient and meaningful support to refugees.
Our program doesn´t provide legal advice, as our focus lies on support and assistance during the asylum procedure. When required, we can arrange legal counselling with experienced lawyers.
